Bakuretsu Hunters Manga Summaries

Since I didn't find any manga summaries for Bakuretsu Hunters online, I decided to write one myself -- and belive me, it's *really* hard to translate this since my manga are all in Chinese, and I'm only semi-literate in Chinese. If you see any inaccuracies, please e-mail me!

Book #2

The team is going about their regular morning antics when a young man named Qui with the sorcerer mark on his head appears and explains that he wants to rescue a girl who's really important to him and apparently is sealed away in a crystal. Gateau flings him down on the ground, explaining that he doesn't trust any sorcerers. He walks away. Tira and Carrot call to him before he walks out the door. Gateau says something about not trusting sorcerers. Before going out the door:

Gateau: And another thing, Marron.
Marron: [?]
Gateau: Do you want to see ... my muscles?
Marron: [sweatdrop]

Outside, there's a bunch of guard dogs and their ears perc up. We see a hand holding a crystal. As the dogs attack, the crystal absorbs all the dogs. Inside, Carrot, Marron, Chocolat, and Tira are talking about.... something I can't make out -- when the windoe breaks and a little kid with the sorcerer mark on his head emerges flies into the room. He unleashes the former guard dogs that he's captured, and he starts cackling. A bunch of knives come at the team, and Marron throws some wards, calling up a few creatures. The kid just throws the creatures back at him. Carrot gets hit by magic and turns into a monster. This apparantly has scared the kid, who starts crying, and Qui shilds the kid while Tira beats her darling back into shape.

Gateau, meanwhile, has gone -- somewhere (some kind of building), and he beats up a bunch of evil henchmen in the rooms. Then, a scantily clad lady named Rulan appears. Gateau tries to punch her, but his fist hits an invisible wall instead. Rulan kisses him, and he falls down.

The rest of the team and Qui and the little sorcerer kid are walking along a trail when Gateau appears. His eyes appear to be clouded. He punches Carrot, and Rulan kisses Carrot. Now, Carrot and Gateau have both turned bad. Gateau attacks Chocolat and Tira while Carrot attacks Marron. Qui wonders how he can get Carrot and Gateau back to normal as he holds the little kid. As Rulan is watching the fight, she communicates with her boss/lover, Ra. Carrot swings at Marron, and Marron takes out a ward but before he puts it to use, Carrot cuts through his shoulder with the sword. Gateau catches Qui and starts strangling the poor kid, and Tira ties Gateau up with her string. Gateau breaks free of the strings easily, but Qui manages to get free. Next, we see Carrot about to kill his brother when Chocolat pushes Marron out of the way, and Carrot ends up striking a pile of rocks. Chocolat yells at Marron, demanding to know why he didn't jump out of the way, and Marron explains that he can't bring himself to hurt his brother. In fact, he'd rather die than hurt his brother.

Marron asks Qui to attack Carrot with magic. Carrot turns into a monster, and Tira ties him with string. Carrot strikes her with a spike before Marron throws his ward and turns Carrot back into his normal self. Tira passes out on Carrot. Rulan surrounds the group with mirrors that they can't break through, and Chocolat transforms into her S&M costume. Rulan creates multiple copies of herself, but Chocolat isn't tricked over which one is the real Rulan. Before Chocolat destroys her, Rulan asks Ra for help, and a big thing resembling a gingerbread man appears. Rulan's broken spell apparently turned Gateau back into his normal self, and he attacks the big gingerbread man thingy.

As Chocolat and Marron are running inside a building, the floor falls out beneath them. Carrot grabs Marron's hand before he falls, so he and Marron end up falling in the pit together. Chocolate faces off with Rulan, and her feet get stuck to the ground as crystals start forming around her legs. Ra appears in front of Carrot and Marron, and Marron tries to cast a spell, but his shoulder is hurt so they both get blasted by Ra. Gateau meanwhile punches through the giant Gingerbread man (I think it was made out of crystal), and he looks around, but Qui, Tira, and the kid have disappeared.

Meanwhile, Ra says to Marron and Carrot that they've made the biggest mistake of hurting his dear Rulan. He holds out a crystal (The characters "death" and "black" appear in the name of the crystal, so I think it has to do with a painful death or something like that). Marron tries to block the crystal by holding out a ward, but he's having a lot of trouble because of his shoulder, so he gets sucked in the crystal as Carrot shouts out "Marron" a couple of times and looks pretty shocked. Carrot turns around and sees that the little kid they've been travelling with has turned into an old, evil-looking guy. Apparently, he's the real evil boss behind this mess. We see that he's trapped Qui and Tira into 2 crystals, and he breaks Qui out of the crystal. He tells Qui to kill Carrot, and Carrot looks shocked as Qui advances while carrying a knife.

Meanwhile, Rulan thinks she's trapped Chocolat into the crystal, but to her surprise, a wire shoots out of nowhere and goes directly through her chest. Chocolat explains how she got out of the crystal (I can't quite make out the words), and Rulan dies.

Qui, who's about to kill Carrot, suddenly throws down the knife and says that he can't kill a friend. The old man then throws the knife into Qui's back. As Ra opens up his crystal to suck in Carrot, Carrot calls out to Marron. The old man throws some knives at Carrot and he falls down, but Carrot still continues to crawl towards the crystal, calling for Marron. Ra looks surpriased as a red flaming bird flies out, and Ra is destroyed as Marron reappears. Qui throws a bolt of magic at the old man, but the old man uses his crystal to reflect it back at him. Carrot jumps in front of the reflected magic and turns into a moster that kills the evil old man and continues to destroy the building -- that is, until Chocolat comes along. Tira and the girl who Qui was trying to rescue are freed from the crystals, and -- well, happily ever after. Qui and the girl hold hands as Carrot, all bandaged up and in crutches, can only watch. The last frame shows Qui and the girl talking about having kids while Chocolat chases after Carrot, suggesting that they have kids too. Tira yells at her sister to stop, Gateau shows off his muscles, and Marron just looks frustrated.
